GRADUATE EMPLOYABILITY (GE) SCHEME UNDER PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM IN RAIL SAFETY, ROLLING STOCK & ELECTRIFICATION (SRE) WITH UTHM ICOE-RAIL
The Professional Engineering Program in Rail Safety, Rolling Stock & Electrification (SRE) is structured to provide the students’ necessary skills and knowledge on urban rail systems operational and maintenance. Upon successful completion, student will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion by PINTAR and UTHM. This would in turn enable the student to upgrade their knowledge in rail engineering basis to meet the rail industry job demand locally and internationally.

Programme Objective:
To gain a broad understanding of the concepts and apply the railway operations, safety principles and standards in normal and degraded conditions.
To understand the fundamental knowledge of Rolling Stocks Technologies.
To provide technical instruction on electric power systems used by various types of electric trains in various countries and different systems used for urban and intercity areas to allow flexibility in operation
To provide the exposure on the real field work of rolling stock maintenance including maintaining, repairing and overhauling components in Rolling Stock.
To provide the exposure on the field work of Urban Rail Electrification.
