RAIL OPERATIONS TRAINING PROGRAMME
Rail operations consists of:
- Station Operation
- Train Operation
- Operation Control Centre
Station Operation consists of activities that facilitate train operation and enhance railway industry sustainability. All personnel require training from the ground level. Competencies in Station Management System Operation is also vital in ensuring service efficiency.
List of course(s):
-
- Station Management System
Develop and maintain competency skills in operating train movement and ensuring passenger safety . This ensures train operational targets are met efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner.
List of course(s):
- Train Driving Operation
Operation Control Centre oversees and maintains the safety of the passengers, staff, infrastructure and rolling stock. This requires personnel to continually adopt and integrate sophisticated rail technologies and knowledge such as Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) Systems, Automatic Train Control (ATC) System Operation and Fault Management to meet the job’s needs.
List of course(s):
- CBTC System Overview
- Automatic Train Control (ATC) System Operation
- Introduction to Fault Management
RAIL ENGINEERING TRAINING PROGRAMME
Rail engineering consists of:
- Signaling and Communication
- Rolling Stock Maintenance
- Track Network Maintenance
- Rail Electrification System
Signaling and Communication comprises of activities that helps to upkeep the maintenance of signaling and communication system and enhance the performance of Rail Industry efficiency. The training of signaling and maintenance requires competency in performing a range of complex technical work activities, performed with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy by following instructions and project schedule that has been prepared on project basis as per term of reference.
List of Course:
- Railway Signaling Concepts
- Integrated Railway Communications Concepts
- Communication Network Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System Maintenance
Rolling Stock Maintenance requires skills in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling components in Rolling Stock. Personnel are expected to have knowledge in mechanical, electrical and electronics as a basis and must be able to understand the main components and functions. The training covers preventive and corrective maintenance for interior carbody, exterior carbody, air-condition and ventilation system, on-board communication, bogie, propulsion system, power supply and brake system including computerised diagnostic system, technical manual and other analysis techniques to identify the source of the problem.
List of Course:
- Vehicle Electrical System Maintenance
- Vehicle Air Conditioning System Maintenance
- Vehicle Preventive Maintenance
- Train Electrical System
- Train Hydraulic System
- Train Control Monitor System (TCMS)
Track Network Maintenance include activities that help upkeep the safety and reliability of train operations. The modules for Track Maintenance are structured to emphasise on areas associated with Track Network Maintenance skills, quality, and safety standards. These areas cover the Components Prospection Works, Track Maintenance Works, Mechanised Machine Operation & Maintenance Works, Track, Structure and Mechanised Machine Inspection Works and Small tools machineries handling.
List of Course:
- Track Introduction & Familiarization
- Track System & Maintenance Familiarization
- Thermit Welding
Rail Electrification include activities that help upkeep the maintenance of Rail Electrification system and enhance rail industry efficiency especially with the increase in Rail transportation systems throughout the country, of which their main objective is to increase public awareness and lessen the dependency on road transport. Rail Electrification covers Power Supply Distribution System, DC Switchgear and Rectifier Operation & Maintenance.
List of Course:
- Power Supply Distribution System
- DC Switchgear
- Rectifier Operation & Maintenance
We feel very proud for our great achievement
The Malaysian Skills Certification System (Sistem Pensijilan Kemahiran Malaysia) is a skills and work-based certification system in Malaysia that is achieved through assessment and training. Candidates receive Malaysian Skills award if they meet the requirements of the National Occupational Skills Standard developed and regulated by the Department of Skills Development (formerly known as the National Vocational Training Council).
The formal recognition is conferred to individuals who show capabilities and competencies in the practice of vocational skills. The criteria and standards of the Malaysian Skills Certification System are articulated with higher level qualifications to enable holders to progress from the level of semi skills, to skilled production, right up to supervisory, executive and managerial functions.
